**Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Academic Lecturer in Early Modern French to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and examining at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a focus on 17th-century French literature and culture.

This full-time position is available from October 2024 for a period of three years. We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong research background, excellent teaching skills, and a proven ability to engage with colleagues and students. A native or near-native command of both French and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and examine courses in 17th-century French literature and culture
  • Contribute to curriculum development and design
  • Supervise student research projects and dissertations
