Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments and develop intervention plans with children and young people, including those with challenging and complex cases.
  • Work in partnership with various statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver effective services.
  • Keep accurate case records and statistics, meeting the requirements of the service.
  • Act as duty officer, evaluating and responding to new referrals, and providing advice and information to stakeholders.
  • Represent the service at meetings with partner agencies and organizations.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience working with adolescents, either paid or voluntary.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create and maintain positive relationships with children.
  • Ability to use initiative and work to targets and deadlines.
  • Capacity to assess, support, and motivate young people, including those with medium to high levels of vulnerability and risk.
  • Ability to make professional judgments in a multi-disciplinary setting and negotiate resources.
  • Valid driving license and ability to transport children.
