Senior Administrative Support Required

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant to the Head at a school in Hertfordshire. As part of our dynamic team, you will provide exceptional support to the headteacher and senior leadership team, playing a vital role in ensuring seamless operations.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity requires a strong background in supporting senior leadership teams, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure. The ideal candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and provide outstanding administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide Administrative Support: Assist the headteacher and senior leadership team with scheduling appointments, managing their calendars, and ensuring they are well-organized.
  2. Manage Enquiries and Queries: Screen and filter incoming queries, prioritizing those that require attention from the headteacher.
  3. Complete Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork efficiently, maintaining high-quality work while meeting deadlines.
  4. Liaise with Staff and Parents: Work closely with the headteacher and senior leadership team to address concerns and complete documentation as needed.
  5. Handle Confidential Information: Handle confidential documents and information related to children and safeguarding or welfare issues.
  6. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Answer calls, respond to queries from parents, staff, and pupils, escalating issues when necessary.
  7. Assist with Office Tasks: Order equipment for office staff as required and complete ad-hoc tasks as needed by the school.
About You
  • Experience working in a school environment.
  • A valid DBS on the DBS update service.
