About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior NPD Technologist to join our Product Development Team at Pilgrim's Europe. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the development of new products and improving existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective delivery of new products and product improvements.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products and product lines, ensuring they meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Cost Management: Develop and manage product costings, ensuring they are accurate and aligned with business targets.
  • EPD Project Management: Manage EPD projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Group Development Chef, Group Packaging Manager, and Procurement team to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Critical Path Management: Identify and manage critical path activities to ensure timely product launches.
  • Concept Development: Develop and present concept samples to customers, ensuring they meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of product development activity, including final product sign off, processes, new ingredients, and packaging.
  • Product Assessment: Continuously assess current products, recommending and redeveloping them as necessary to ensure they meet current market requirements.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the safety of self and others while at work, adhering to company health and safety policies.
  • Professional Conduct: Act as an ambassador for Pilgrim's Europe, ensuring professional conduct, approach, and personal presentation at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years' experience in the food industry, with a proven track record in product development and project management.
  • Education: Degree in food or relevant qualification, or equivalent transferable experience within food manufacturing.
  • Skills: Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
