About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled NPI Technologist to join our Product Development Team at Pilgrim's Europe. As an NPI Technologist, you will play a critical role in the development and launch of new products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Factory Trial Management: Manage factory trials associated with NPD/EPD projects, adhering to agreed critical paths and utilizing the Pilgrim's Europe Stage & Gate process.
  • Document Control: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of factory trials, including micro and analytical data.
  • Trial Review Panels: Arrange and facilitate trial review panels to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
  • Reporting and Problem-Solving: Provide regular progress reports, agree trial schedules, and actively participate in problem-solving activities to drive project success.
  • Data Gathering: Collect and analyze data from factory trials, including yields, labor inputs, changeovers, and other relevant metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest alternative solutions to production issues.
  • Customer Approval: Support customer approval panels and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
  • Pre-Production Planning: Assist in organizing and planning the agenda for pre-production, ensuring a smooth transition to production.
  • Innovation Projects: Contribute to innovation projects, driving business growth and product development.
  • Professional Conduct: Represent Pilgrim's Europe as an ambassador, maintaining professional conduct, approach, and personal presentation at all times.
Requirements
  • Comfort in a Meat Environment: Be comfortable conducting organoleptic assessments and taste panels of meat products.
  • Time Management and Organization: Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Show experience and resilience in problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
  • HACCP and Food Safety Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of HACCP and food safety/hygiene principles.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate strong team player skills and excellent IT skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excel Skills: Show proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and formula writing.
  • Food Industry Experience: Possess proven experience in the food industry, with a degree in food or a relevant qualification.
