About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Management Specialist to join our team at Workman LLP. As a Property Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily operation of a diverse property portfolio consisting of commercial, industrial, and retail properties.

This is a permanent position on our non-rotational graduate program, offering full-time on-the-job training and the opportunity to attend external CPD events and forums.

The duration of the program is a minimum of 2 years, during which you will support your APC and work towards becoming a RICS accredited charted surveyor, overseen by the University College of Estate Management (UCEM).

You will also earn your IOSH certificate and work closely with our ESG, Building Surveying, Facility Management, and Property Accounting teams.

During the first 6 months of the program, you will be required to work from the office full-time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day running and management of a varied portfolio of commercial property, including retail, office, and industrial properties.
  • Provide landlords and tenants with specialist advice on lease obligations, repairs, and maintenance works, while overseeing the management of rental and other income owed by the tenant.
  • Work with clients to enhance the value of their portfolios when required.
  • Arrange and undertake property inspections.
  • Prepare and administer service charge expenditure.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, including Health and Safety and other regulations.
  • Deal with tenant applications for consent to assign, sublet, and alter.
  • Provide support and assistance to clients in connection with value enhancement opportunities, including rent reviews, lettings, and lease renewal programs.
  • Report to and work with clients on tenure and physical improvements to properties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree at an upper second standard (2:1) for cognate students or lower second standard (2:2) for non-cogs.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to client requirements.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and relationship building with gravitas amongst clients.
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership of your training and career development.
  • Readiness to take responsibility, act on your own initiative, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Enjoy working in different environments, as you will be out on site as well as in the office.
  • Resilience and positive attitude.
