The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust is seeking an experienced Carpenter/joiner/handyman/maintenance expert to support our mission of conservation and education. As a Wildlife Habitat Builder, you will design, construct, and maintain bird exhibits that promote learning and appreciation for wildlife.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and refurbish bird pens, breeding facilities, and other wooden features.
  • Operate workshop machinery to produce nest boxes, transport crates, shelters, and housing.
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment, with desirable electrical qualifications.
Essential Skills
  • Practical expertise in DIY and carpentry.
  • Familiarity with workshop machinery and electrical systems.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
