Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and development of a range of quality direct services to young people.
Main Responsibilities:- Ensure the Statement of Purpose is in place and reflects the appropriate needs of young people.
- Develop effective communication strategies and systems to assist staff in the operation of their duties.
- Manage and develop a range of quality direct services to young people, ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented.
- Identify and meet staff training and development needs, assisting in training staff as required.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and regularly inspect the condition of the building.
- Manage finance budgets, control, administration, and records in accordance with North Lakes Children's Services expectations and procedures.
- Promote and implement the company's Equality and Diversity policies and Child Protection Procedures.
- Set, monitor, and evaluate standards at individual, team performance, and service quality.
- Establish and manage team communications systems, ensuring that company procedures, policies, strategies, and objectives are effectively communicated.
- Ensure professional practice is carried out to the highest standards and developed in line with company objectives.
- Provide vision and leadership to staff, ensuring effective systems are in place for workload allocation and management.
- Manage a designated budget, ensuring value for money through monitoring and control of expenditure.
- Supervise and appraise staff, ensuring they follow company procedures.
- Understanding of issues facing young people in care.
- Hold Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Willingness to learn and work well as part of a small team.
- Ability to work at other Residential Homes as needed.
- Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is advantageous.
- Sleep-in allowance of £. per night.
- Shift Rotation: days on, days off, with staggered start times.
