Residential Deputy Manager Position

Main Responsibilities:

As a Residential Deputy Manager at North Lakes Children's Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the Statement of Purpose is in place and reflects the needs of the young people in our care. You will also be responsible for developing effective communication strategies and systems to support staff in their duties.

Key Duties:
  • Manage and develop quality direct services to young people, ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Identify and meet staff training and development needs, and assist in training staff as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and maintain the condition of the building and its equipment.
  • Manage finance budgets, control, administration, and records in accordance with North Lakes' expectations and procedures.
  • Promote and implement the company's Equality and Diversity policies and Child Protection Procedures.
  • Establish and manage team communications systems, ensuring that company procedures, policies, and objectives are effectively communicated to staff.
  • Provide vision and leadership to staff, ensuring effective systems are in place for workload allocation and management.
  • Manage a designated budget, ensuring value for money through monitoring and control of expenditure.

Requirements:
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Be willing to learn and work well as part of a small team.
  • Have a full, clean UK driving licence and be able to cover at other Residential Homes as needed.
