Teaching Assistant Role for Students with PMLD

We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team at TimePlan Education and support children and young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in a SEND school in North West London.

About the School:

The successful candidate will be working in a SEND school that provides high-quality education and care for students with complex and severe learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with all aspects of daily living, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Implement strategies for managing challenging behaviour, working closely with the class teacher and external professionals as needed.
  • Provide assistance and support for students with physical disabilities, including moving and handling, and use of specialist equipment.

Requirements:

  • Full-time commitment of 5 days per week, from 8:30am to 4:00PM.
  • Experience working with children, adults, and/or the elderly with additional needs.
  • A strong understanding of PMLD and experience working with students with severe and complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated Salary: £27,750 - £37,250 per annum.
