Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced Community Outreach Specialists for multiple roles within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in a community setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1:1 basis within the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support to help students achieve both personal and educational goals.
- Guide students in exploring their post-education options.
- Promote social and emotional awareness, as well as independence.
- Manage challenging behavior proactively, rather than reactively.
- Report and document any safeguarding concerns or behavioral challenges.
- Help students build confidence and self-esteem.
- Essential Experience:
- Previous work in a PRU, young offenders' environment, or similar setting, supporting young people with challenging behaviors.
- Experience in a classroom setting, with the ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships that foster student progression.
- Personal Attributes:
- Resilient, positive, and effective in responding to difficult behavior.
- Dedicated Consultant: Support throughout the registration process and while on assignment.
- Weekly Pay: Processed via PAYE—no charges for processing your pay.

- Candidate App: A platform to manage your details, view new bookings, and amend existing ones.

To work with Teaching Personnel, you must have a Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service. If you need to apply for a new check, we offer full assistance at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
