As we embark on our capital development programme, Breaking Down Barriers - Phase 3, we seek a skilled Curator and Exhibitions Project Lead to drive the success of this ambitious project.

Salary: £30,590-£35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description: The Curator and Exhibitions Project Lead will oversee the development of the Active Gallery, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and engages audiences from diverse backgrounds.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the vision for the Active Gallery, working closely with designers, curators, and other stakeholders
  2. Liaise with external partners and the community to ensure that the Active Gallery meets their needs and expectations
  3. Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver the project within agreed timelines

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as curation, museum studies, or project management
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a museum or cultural institution
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
