At Acorns Children's Hospice Trust, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bank Care Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families who require palliative care.
The role will involve delivering holistic care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, both at home and in the hospice setting. As a key member of our team, you will provide emotional support to families and work closely with colleagues to ensure the highest standard of care.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in general childcare, hospital care, or family-centered work. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be adaptable, and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Awarded Salary: £25,500 - £31,100 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
This role requires the ability to actively encourage a family atmosphere within the hospice, facilitate outings, play, and activities suitable for the child's age and development needs. You will also contribute to the Acorns fundraising aims by raising awareness and promoting the charity's mission.
