Job Title: Transport & Port Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport & Port Operations Manager to join our fast-paced operation at Henderson Brown. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective coordination of goods from port to depot, while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination of goods from port to depot, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with ports, depots, and 3rd party hauliers to negotiate rates and resolve logistics challenges.
  • Oversee the UK rail strategy and supply chain coordination team, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to maximize capacity and revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, H&S, and legal requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Transport/Port Operations Manager role, coordinating FMCG products.
  • Strong understanding of road, sea, and rail transportation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to prevent issues from arising.
  • ERP system knowledge, ideally SAP, and the ability to manipulate data to drive improvements.
