About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Transportation Operator to join our team at Sodexo. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of vehicles, including passenger-carrying vehicles, light goods vehicles, and cars, to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vehicles in operation are fully compliant with road traffic regulations and agency standards.
  • Report and rectify any defects that may render a vehicle non-compliant.
  • Complete all task and reporting documentation in accordance with legal requirements and company procedures.
  • Work a maximum 5-day week, 20 hours, or casual contract as required.
  • Work overtime as agreed to meet business requirements for out-of-hours commitments.
  • Clean vehicles as directed by line management to maintain a presentable and clean condition.
  • Perform routine transport office administration, as directed by line management, and any other associated MT duties.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as determined by line management to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Fully clean driving license.
  • PCV Cat D1/D driving license (including hire and reward).
  • Driver CPC qualification.
  • Driver Digi Tachograph Card.
  • Knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
  • Understanding of and compliance with all aspects of road transport legislation.
  • Demonstrable driving experience and basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Possess good written and numerical skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge and awareness.
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
