Job Title: Adult Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Semester. This is a full-time position that requires a professional qualification in social work, Social Work England registration, and post-qualified experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide leadership with respect to social work and social care within our Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). They will work closely with adults at risk and partner agencies to address safeguarding concerns while adhering to the principles of making safeguarding personal.

The postholder will also provide professional and line management supervision, consultation with respect to complex casework, and support the continuing professional development of social workers. If qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), they will act as an AMHP on a rota basis and contribute to the AMHP Manager rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership with respect to social work and social care within the CMHT
  • Work closely with adults at risk and partner agencies to address safeguarding concerns
  • Provide professional and line management supervision, consultation with respect to complex casework
  • Support the continuing professional development of social workers
  • Act as an AMHP on a rota basis and contribute to the AMHP Manager rota (if qualified)
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in social work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment
