About the Role

Suttons Manor is a specialist low secure forensic service providing care to men aged 50 and above with mental health/personality disorders and/or dementia.

Our hospital is situated in beautiful grounds near Romford, Essex, offering convenient access by car or public transport.

As a Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse at Suttons Manor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional care to individuals with mental illness and personality disorders
  • Developing strong therapeutic relationships to enhance patient engagement
  • Ensuring adherence to codes of conduct, standards, and legislation while respecting patients' rights and promoting ethical practice
  • Contributing to patient assessments, creating comprehensive care plans, and monitoring progress
  • Leading shifts and providing mentorship and support to student nurses and team members
Requirements for Success
  • Valid NMC registration as RMN
  • Substantial experience in mental health services
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development
  • A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices
  • Familiarity with the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
Estimated Salary

£55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
