Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Manage the construction cost centre, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilisation targets are met.
  • Support the leadership team in delivering strategic projects to improve business outcomes.
  • Develop high-performing teams and allocate sufficient resources to deliver electrification projects or packages of work within various contractual structures.
  • Line manage construction staff within the portfolio and work with relevant business functional leads to ensure competency and effective utilisation of those resources.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of construction processes and procedures, undertaking readiness reviews of key works as necessary or directed by the EL senior leadership team.
Benefits:
  • A competitive salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.

Requirements:Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Significant project and business management experience within the UK rail industry (ideally a minimum of 10 years).

  • Good IT skills, particularly with common Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong management skills & ability in terms of written & verbal communication; customer management; negotiation skills and change management.
