Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Youth Support Specialist to join our team at Prospero Teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students in a Secondary SEMH school in Hulme, Manchester.

About the School

Our school is located within inner city Manchester, just a 10-minute walk from Deansgate Train station. We have onsite parking available and excellent transport links. Our students require support with their social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a similar setting and hold relevant qualifications, including Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent. They must also hold GCSE Maths and English qualifications and be computer literate.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • SUPPORT students with their SEMH needs
  • WORK collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • MAINTAIN accurate records of student progress
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, candidates must:

  • HOLD the Right to Work in the UK
  • HOLD an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service
  • PROVIDE two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is £97 per day. Working hours are 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only). The successful candidate will also receive free, accredited continued professional development courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
