We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Coordinator to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a Service Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre at Lister Hospital & Urgent Treatment Centre at QEII & Lister, Unplanned Care Division.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and analytical skills, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services and improving patient care. You will work closely with the General and Service Managers to support and deliver performance sustainability, as well as contribute to the design and delivery of operational procedures to ensure compliance with Emergency Care standards.
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating secretarial and administrative staff, including responsibility for a budget. You will also support the Service Manager and Divisional Operations Manager in developing business plans and producing reports as required.

Main Duties of the JobAs a Service Coordinator, your main duties will include:
- Supporting the Emergency Department & UTC Service Manager in leading all aspects of Unplanned Care services
- Managing and coordinating secretarial and administrative staff
- Developing and implementing operational procedures to ensure compliance with Emergency Care standards
- Supporting the Service Manager and Divisional Operations Manager in developing business plans
- Producing reports as required

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent leadership and analytical skills
- Experience of staff management, including management of sickness absence and performance
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage varied workload
