Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Coordinator to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a Service Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre at Lister Hospital & Urgent Treatment Centre at QEII & Lister, Unplanned Care Division.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and analytical skills, with a strong desire to improve and succeed. You will be responsible for participating in the inputting of demand and capacity modelling for the service, and supporting the General and Service Managers in delivering performance sustainability and contributing to the design and delivery of operational procedures to ensure compliance with Emergency Care standards.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across different specialties, ensuring and encouraging internal professional standards are adhered to at all times. You will also support the service's leadership team with delivering our quality and safety agenda to achieve an "Excellence" status for the service.

Main Duties of the Job

You will support the Emergency Department & UTC Service Manager in leading all aspects of Unplanned Care services, including performance management and service delivery of our emergency care standards. This will include actively participating in the delivery of our urgent and emergency care recovery plan and a challenging financial sustainability programme.

You will be directly responsible for the management and coordination of secretarial and administrative staff working within the service, including responsibility for a budget. You will also support the Service Manager and Divisional Operations Manager by contributing to the development of business plans.

Produce reports as required.
