Job DescriptionThis role involves working independently to provide continuing care for patients, participating in out-of-hours on-call rotas, and contributing to audit and governance. You will also be responsible for supporting the training of junior medical staff and other staffing groups, as well as carrying out administrative duties related to clinical commitments.
You will be a core member of the Upper GI/Hepatobiliary Cancer MDT and will have opportunities to develop enhanced clinical skills, particularly in assessing and managing acutely ill patients. Excellent team-working skills and a professional attitude are essential for this role, which requires collaboration with multi-professional teams to deliver clinical and quality targets.
Person SpecificationTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- MBBS, MB ChB, or equivalent medical qualification
- MRCP or equivalent medical qualification
Desirable qualifications include a PhD, MD, or evidence of higher education qualification. Essential criteria include full registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC) and entry on the GMC Specialist Register via Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role is £85,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive training, development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
