Occupational Therapist for Social Inclusion

As an Occupational Therapist for Social Inclusion, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with mental health needs to achieve their goals and reintegrate into their communities.
You will work closely with the occupational therapy team, conducting home environment assessments, and developing and delivering social, recreational, and leisure activities.
With your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will build strong relationships with clients, external agencies, and colleagues, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective service delivery.
Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum
Main Duties- To work with clients to identify their recovery and inclusion support needs, developing personalized plans to achieve their goals.
- To conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks, ensuring client safety and well-being.
- To collaborate with external agencies to resolve issues related to benefits, housing, debt, and other social inclusion matters.
- To contribute to occupational therapy assessments, under the guidance of an experienced occupational therapist.
- NVQ Level 3 or BTEC Higher National Certificate in a relevant field.
- Recent experience of working in acute mental health care, preferably within the last 6 months.
- Sound knowledge of the recovery model and social inclusion principles.
- Ability to create innovative solutions to empower service users and promote independence.
