About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As an OTA, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients in their recovery journey, working closely with our Occupational Therapists to deliver person-centred interventions in a wide range of community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering occupational therapy interventions to patients in their homes and community settings.
  • Support patients in developing their skills and abilities, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in healthcare or experience in delivering healthcare services.
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions relevant to our patient group.
  • Understanding of the role of occupational therapy and its contribution to patient health and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
