About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Director/Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Health Care. As a senior medical leader, you will be responsible for providing clinical direction and oversight to our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver integrated, person-centered care
  • Coach and mentor junior staff to enhance their clinical skills
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in care

Requirements
  • Fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification
  • Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
  • An accomplished leader and clinician with strong line management and communication skills
  • Experienced within a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance
  • Skilled in medical appraisals, clinical supervision, case investigation, and case management
  • A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
