Job Title: Senior Calibration Technician - Pressure, Mass, Torque, and Force

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

The Senior Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing and supervising high-level calibration/repair of mechanical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE), including pressure, mass, torque, and force measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and supervise high-level calibration/repair of mechanical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE)
  • Take part in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and quickly achieve UKAS signatory status
  • Deliver specific, target-driven on-the-job training/experiential learning to apprentices/lesser-experienced team members
  • Professional communication with technical stakeholders, including consultation on new measurement technologies

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a precision mechanical metrology laboratory environment
  • Understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001)
  • Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
