Broadcast Systems Specialist

At Bauer Media Audio in Scotland, we are seeking a skilled Broadcast Engineer to join our team at the home of Clyde 1 in Glasgow, the Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio Networks.
As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient technical solutions for our broadcast systems. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career within the radio industry, with a focus on building strong relationships with colleagues and providing excellent communication skills.
You will work closely with all Bauer Media teams, supporting and collaborating with colleagues in different areas of the business. Your technical skills could come from your education, previous employment, or a particular technical interest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the audio business day-to-day as part of a team
- Fault finding operational issues and finding solutions in a timely manner
- Planning and organising the maintenance of our facilities
- Working on a variety of projects to help the business develop
Requirements:
- Knowledge of AOIP studio/routing systems and broadcast chains
- An understanding of playout, news, logging, and streaming systems
- Experience with video systems would be an advantage as our brands evolve with a greater visual presence
- Expert fault-finding skills, a drive to help people, and a keen interest in audio and video
