An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Broadcast Engineer to join the team at Bauer Media Audio in Scotland, supporting the delivery of effective and efficient technical solutions for broadcast systems.

This role could be suited to someone looking to begin or develop a career within the radio industry, with a focus on building strong relationships with colleagues at all levels and in all departments.

As a key member of the UK-wide Radio Technology team, you will be responsible for providing specialist support to the business for the systems that make our radio stations work, including AOIP studio/routing systems and broadcast chains, playout, news, logging, and streaming systems.

You'll be expected to work closely with all Bauer Media teams, supporting and collaborating with colleagues in different areas of the business, and have a passion for technology and a keen interest in audio and video.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the audio business day-to-day as part of a team
  • Fault finding operational issues and finding solutions in a timely manner
  • Planning and organising the maintenance of our facilities
  • Working on a variety of projects to help the business develop

What You'll Bring:

  • Knowledge of AOIP studio/routing systems and broadcast chains
  • An understanding of playout, news, logging, and streaming systems
  • Experience with video systems would be an advantage as our brands evolve with a greater visual presence
  • Expert fault-finding skills, a drive to help people, and a team-player mindset
