Responsibilities

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for sourcing and assessing suppliers, visiting suppliers' facilities to review and assess their procedures, and performing regular quality control audits to ensure suppliers continue to work in compliance with company and industry standards.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and implementing improvement plans where required. Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates is also a key responsibility.

Developing and implementing quality control plans, procedures, and policies to ensure that products or services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements is also a critical aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions. Experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment, is essential. A strong understanding of quality principles, methodologies, and tools, including statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis, is also required.
