Job Overview

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Nursing to lead the transformation of our hospital services. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our clinical services, ensuring they are safe, effective, and meet the needs of our patients and staff.

Main Duties

As Associate Director of Nursing, you will work closely with our Associate Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for the design of our clinical services, their pathways, and their processes. You will engage with staff, patients, and the public to co-produce a new health and care facility that meets the needs of both the population it will serve and the staff who will provide care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership for the design of clinical services, pathways, and processes
  • Engage with staff, patients, and the public to co-produce a new health and care facility
  • Work closely with the Associate Medical Director to ensure effective collaboration and communication
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and safety
  • Lead the development of clinical policies and procedures

Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced and skilled nursing professional who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience at senior nurse/midwifery level in an acute setting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of current health policy and its impact on the management and development of acute health services
