As a Materials Science R&D Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of sustainable biomaterials technologies.

Job Overview

We are looking for a talented scientist to join our team as a Materials Science R&D Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with world-leading academics and present your work at industry conferences. You will engage in cutting-edge R&D to develop new materials that deliver performance without plastics and aesthetics without animal inputs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and formulate functional polymers into textiles
  • Conduct material testing & analysis, including mechanical testing and characterisation of functional textiles
  • Present experimental data to the team and advisors
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in Chemistry/Materials Science (or related discipline) or an Undergraduate Degree with 1-2 years of work experience. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience in a wet-laboratory setting, knowledge of cellulose chemistries, and understanding of coding methods/Python. Familiarity with textile processing, chemistries, and finishing, as well as design of electronic sensors, is also highly desirable.
