The Role

As a Deputy Manager at Castore, you will inspire your team to deliver the company's customer and brand vision. You will support the team in delivering the service and sales proposition for the store, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of what we do. Your mission is to ensure that we prioritize the customer's needs above all else.

You will empower employees by providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to excel in their roles. In this dynamic position, you will have various focus areas, requiring you to continuously learn and adapt. This includes growing sales, developing a service-focused team, and supporting all store operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in key areas, including developing the best possible customer experience and driving results.
  • Guide and coach the team to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that every interaction meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Work closely with the store team to ensure smooth processes for stock management, returns, and inventory control.
  • Monitor and manage team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.

Driving Results:

  • Your primary KPI is customer satisfaction, and you will strive to exceed targets through proactive problem-solving and initiative-taking.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales, focusing on excellent customer service and effective inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the store team to achieve All Sizes Out (ASO) targets and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the team has the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

Operational:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, storage, and maintenance of HR records and company documents.
  • Manage cash handling, delivery processes, and other administrative tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee health and safety policies, reporting any issues promptly to the Head Office team.

Commercial:

  • Set clear objectives and goals for yourself and your team, focusing on commercial success and customer satisfaction.
  • Build a highly motivated and focused team, empowering them to deliver exceptional results.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity, using this knowledge to inform commercial decisions.
  • Promote innovative ideas and solutions to drive sales growth and business development.

Future Focus:

  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to innovate and enhance the customer experience.
  • Evaluate the impact of multichannel advancements on our business, exploring opportunities for growth and expansion.

Skills & Qualities:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
  • Retail exposure is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with a passion for problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills, with a desire to mentor and develop others.
  • Able to adapt quickly to change and prioritize tasks effectively.
