About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with individual pupils who require 1:1 support due to social, emotional, and learning challenges. This may include speech and sound disorder, disordered expressive language skills, delayed understanding of language, concentration and attention difficulties, challenging behavior, and work avoidance behaviors.

The role involves close working partnerships with relevant agencies that support the young person, including Social Workers, Speech and Language Therapy Service, Social Communication Disorder Assessment Service, Early Intervention Team, and Educational Psychologists. Work may sometimes be undertaken outside the main teaching area.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will take responsibility for specific areas of work, which will be reviewed annually as part of the performance management cycle and school improvement process.

We offer a competitive salary of £24,357 per annum (pro rata) for this permanent, term-time only position.
