SEN Support Assistant

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced SEN Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Telford. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism, Asperger's, ADHD, speech and/or language difficulties, and cerebral palsy. Your role will involve working one-to-one with pupils, assisting them during lessons, and helping to promote their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including providing individualized support and assistance during lessons
- Working with children who exhibit challenging behaviour and developing strategies to manage this effectively
- Liaising with parents and relevant staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Minimum Requirements:
- Residing in the UK and holding a valid right to work in the country
- Possessing an enhanced DBS check and being contactable by referees
- Holding the necessary qualifications and training for this role
