Senior Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team in Derry. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own client portfolio, ensuring efficient oversight of tax compliance, and collaborating with the existing tax team and partner group.
About the Role- Oversight of personal tax compliance and advisory work
- Extensive knowledge of IHT, Trusts, CGT, EIS/SEIS schemes, residence tax, non-domiciliary tax, and property tax
- Ensure client assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Work collaboratively with the wider tax team, utilising resource effectively to maximise client service
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring awareness of their requirements
- Recognise and respond to clients' business needs, providing quality tax advice on all aspects of assignments
- HMRC liaison and problem-solving
- Supporting the Partners on the commercial development of the firm
- Managing a team of accountants, overseeing workflow, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Empower the tax team through appropriate delegation and effective people management
- Consistently seek internal improvement, presenting opportunities to senior leadership
- Demonstrate commitment to the firm's ongoing strategic direction, communicating and adapting to change
- Manage margins effectively to drive profitability
- Successful engagement of new clients
- Identify changes in Tax legislation and how they affect clients and promote new advisory projects
- Support the leadership team with the mentoring and development of junior staff
- Business development

- Demonstrable personal tax advisory and compliance experience within a practice environment

- Able to lead a team and project manage, including decision-making, time management, and prioritisation
