Senior Tax Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to clients, as well as leading and managing a team of tax professionals.

About the Role
  • Provide high-quality tax advice and guidance to clients, including personal tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, ensuring effective workflow and timely completion of client assignments.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring awareness of their requirements and providing quality tax advice on all aspects of assignments.
  • Collaborate with the wider tax team, utilising resource effectively to maximise client service.
  • Recognise and respond to clients' business needs, providing quality tax advice on all aspects of assignments.
  • HMRC liaison and problem solving.
  • Supporting the Partners on the commercial development of the firm.
  • Managing a team of accountants, overseeing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Empower the tax team through appropriate delegation and effective people management.
  • Consistently seek internal improvement, presenting opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firm's ongoing strategic direction, communicating and adapting to change.
  • Manage margins effectively to drive profitability.
  • Successful engagement of new clients.
  • Identify changes in Tax legislation and how they affect clients and promote new advisory projects.
  • Support the leadership team with the mentoring and development of junior staff.
  • Business development.

Requirements
  • CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA or CA qualified, QBE would also be considered.
  • Demonstrable personal tax advisory and compliance experience within a practice environment.
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to lead a team and project manage, including decision-making, time management and prioritisation.
