Child Protection Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our Duty and Assessment Team in Halton, UK.

As a Child Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, investigating child protection concerns, and developing effective care plans that prioritize the needs of each child.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Conduct thorough assessments and investigations into child protection concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the needs of each child, working closely with families and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, providing transparency and accountability in your work.
  • Prepare for and attend court proceedings, presenting robust written and verbal evidence as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualifications:
    • A degree or diploma in Social Work or equivalent recognized qualification is essential.
    • Registration with Social Work England (SWE) is mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in a frontline social work role, preferably in a Duty and Assessment setting.
    • A strong background in child protection and risk management is highly desirable.
