At Foster Care Solutions Limited, we are seeking an experienced Social Work Supervisor to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The key responsibilities of this role include supervising foster carers, ensuring the safeguarding of children, participating in recruitment and assessment of foster carers, and attending Fostering Panels. The ideal candidate will have experience in social work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and foster carers.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • CARRY OUT NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE ORGANISATION AND PLACING AUTHORITIES WITH RESPECT TO THE PLACEMENT OF CHILDREN.
  • SUPERVISE THE WORK OF FOSTER CARERS ON BEHALF OF THE ORGANISATION AND PROVIDE ONGOING SUPPORT POST-PLACEMENT.
  • ENSURE THE SAFEGUARDING OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN PLACEMENT AND INFORMATION RELATED TO SAME.
  • PARTICIPATE IN THE RECRUITMENT, ASSESSMENT AND TRAINING OF FOSTER CARERS.
  • UNDERTAKE ANNUAL REVIEWS OF FOSTER CARERS ENSURING THAT ALL WORK MEETS IDENTIFIED TIMESCALES.
  • ATTEND FOSTERING PANELS TO PRESENT FORM Fs AND ANNUAL REVIEWS ON BEHALF OF THE ORGANISATION.
  • WORK WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS AND FOSTER CARERS TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE AND POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR CHILDREN PLACED.
  • ENSURE THAT ALL WORK IS RECORDED ON THE CHARMS DATABASE.
