Food Service Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Food on Campus Chef to join our team at the University of Brighton. As a key member of our student operations and support team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food services to our diverse student body.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative food offerings that meet the needs of our students, using fresh ingredients and cooked-to-order techniques.
- Support the creation of grab-and-go options for our cafes, ensuring a wide range of choices for our students.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that showcase emerging food trends and meet the dietary needs of our students.
- Work closely with the student operations and support team to ensure seamless delivery of food services across our campuses.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to feedback and concerns from students and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a university or higher education setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent creative skills, with the ability to develop innovative food offerings and menus.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and bank holidays, and to adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The role is based on our Moulsecoomb Campus, with the possibility of working on our Falmer Campus. Job sharers are welcome to apply.
