Efficiencies Programme Director

We're a family of brands revolutionising a cleaner, greener future. Our British Gas Services and Solutions business is undergoing a transformation, and we're looking for a Programme Director to lead our Efficiencies Programme.
Overview
The Programme Director will be responsible for maintaining a strategic focus and ensuring that the overarching vision and goals are in alignment with British Gas Services and Solutions. This will involve managing resource allocation effectively, mitigating programme risks, and prioritising high-impact activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder engagement strategy to align and gain support from stakeholders.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics for the programme, including what success looks like.
- Develop training and deployment plans upfront, and communicate key messages and actions in a timely manner.
- Balance the risk between the need for change and operational stability.
- Ensure credible planning across the programme, taking account of interdependencies and programme finances managed in line with approved budgets.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have major programme leadership skills gained from a large complex organisation, preferably in the energy, FMCG, or utilities sectors. Experience in managing programmes with medium to high complexity, including knowledge and experience of both waterfall and Agile delivery methods, is essential. The candidate should also have demonstrable experience of delivering complex projects and delivering project outcomes for impacted areas, such as process improvement, service management, IT governance, and program management.
