Senior Staff Nurse Cardiac Cath Labs Specialist

Job Summary
The post holder will work closely with the Lead Nurse in cath labs and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent clinical standards of nursing practice and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuing professional development and overall performance of staff by acting as a mentor and preceptor.
- Carrying out all relevant and specialised forms of care and being part of the primary PCI service on call.
- Working without direct supervision and demonstrating procedures, supervising registered and/or unregistered staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- Co-managing and supporting the 3 theatres and regional PPCI service whilst developing the CTO, EP and Structural services with the Unit manager and inter-professional team.
- Providing inspirational leadership and acting as a positive role model for the staff to ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop for the right individual. The Unit is a busy and critical service for the Health Board.
