The post holder will work closely with the Lead Nurse in cath labs and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent clinical standards of nursing practice and staff development.

The post holder will be responsible for the continuing professional development and overall performance of staff by acting as a mentor and preceptor.

The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant and specialised forms of care and be part of the primary PCI service on call.

The post holder will work without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise registered and/or unregistered staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced registered nurse to work with and support the Unit manager to develop the service and share the vision to be the best we can and drive forward the UHB agenda.

The Unit is a busy and critical service for the Health Board and this is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop for the right individual.

The post holder will co-manage and support the 3 theatres and regional PPCI service whilst developing the CTO, EP and Structural services with the Unit manager and inter-professional team.
