Our partnership with successful secondary schools and colleges in the Newcastle area has led to the creation of support staff vacancies. These roles cater to Psychology graduates, who bring a unique combination of academic theory and well-being expertise.

By joining our team, you'll have the chance to acquire hands-on experience in a school environment, enhancing your prospects for future career advancement in teaching or working with children and young people. This experience can be particularly valuable for those considering Education Psychology or clinical courses.

Key Requirements:
  • Gaining practical experience while assisting at a supportive secondary school.
  • A full-time Graduate TA position is available, commencing from January 6th.
  • The possibility of initiating employment earlier, if feasible and available.
Essential Skills:
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff and students, tracking progress and development.
  • A composed individual capable of managing challenging behavior and situations.
  • Transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.

You will work closely with students, facilitating small group interventions, and providing support tailored to their subject needs. Highlighting any relevant experience in tutoring or supporting young people will be highly advantageous to the school.

Benefits Package:
  • A competitive annual salary of £24,000, based on experience.
  • 7% statutory holiday pay.
