Job Description

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a qualified neonatal nurse to fill a Band 5 position. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns and mentoring junior staff members.

You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the future of neonatal care and improving patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a role model and leader in the clinical area, promoting excellence in patient care and supervision.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a supportive environment for families and provide education on infant care.
  • Mentor and teach junior staff, ensuring they meet their learning objectives and develop essential skills.
  • Contribute to the development of junior medical staff and colleagues in other departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • RSCN / RN Child / RM / RN current registration.
  • Completion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Course (ENB 405) or equivalent.
  • Significant experience as a Band 5 staff nurse in neonatal care, with post-Neonatal Intensive Care Course experience.
  • Recent studies in relevant fields.

Salary: £34,892 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience. Based on various factors, this salary may be adjusted accordingly.
