Transport Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport & Port Operations Manager to join our client, a leading chilled food company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective coordination of goods from port to depot, while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the transport plan execution, maximizing capacity and revenue per load.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with ports, depots, and 3rd party hauliers.
- Oversee the UK rail strategy and supply chain coordination team.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve the transport function.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, H&S, and legal requirements.
- Experience in Transport/Port Operations Management, coordinating FMCG products.
- Strong understanding of road, sea, and rail transportation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- ERP system knowledge, ideally SAP.
- Degree level in Logistics/Supply Chain discipline (advantageous).
