Transport Operations Manager

Our client, a leading chilled food company, is seeking a highly skilled Transport & Port Operations Manager to join their fast-paced operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the effective movement of goods from port to depot, ensuring seamless logistics and customer satisfaction.
- Lead the UK transport plan, maximizing capacity and revenue per load, while maintaining high performance standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with ports, depots, and 3rd party hauliers, negotiating rates and resolving daily logistics challenges.
- Oversight of the UK rail strategy and supply chain coordination team, driving innovation and improvement.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, H&S, and legal compliance at all times.
- Proven experience in Transport/Port Operations Management, coordinating FMCG products.
- Strong understanding of road, sea, and rail transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to prevent issues, with ERP system knowledge (SAP) and the ability to manipulate data to drive improvements.
