Global Payroll Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Specialist to join our EMEA payroll team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and checking new starters, leavers, and all changes prior to processing payroll. You will also ensure all reports are run and payrolls are following the company audit controls.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of payroll related tasks, ideally having worked in a similar position as part of a large organisation. You will be comfortable working with payroll systems and have excellent analytical skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant Payroll for aspects of the payroll cycle, liaising with HR and country teams, and ensuring country procedures are followed.
- Manage and deliver payrolls against agreed country schedules.
- Process UK, EMEA & ACE payrolls for Czech, Denmark, Dubai, Finland, India, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, and potential for further expansion.
- Individuals and team members strive to improve systems, processes, and payroll delivery environment to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Owning or contributing to specific company projects such as improving and/or changing systems, processes, or functions within the business.
- Owning, managing, and resolving client escalations, seeking help and advice where needed.
- Implement and test changes required in the payroll application.
- Raise issue tickets with payroll vendors and manage them to resolution.
- Manage the relationship with payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll.
- Work with the Assistant Payroll Manager to enhance and develop processes and procedures.
- Ensure payroll is compliant, including performing scheduled self-audit and SOX tests on payroll-related processes.
- Assist with accounting functions in preparation, distribution, and reporting of payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly/quarterly payroll journals.
