About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive exceptional growth in our digital commerce division. As the Head of Digital Commerce, you will be at the forefront of our digital strategy, responsible for driving sales and margin growth across our ecommerce platforms.

You will lead a talented team of 3-5 individuals, manage budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise website performance and deliver exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns and promotions to boost online sales. Create strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Lead and Inspire: Build and nurture a high-performing ecommerce team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop a data-driven digital strategy to increase traffic, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.
  • Website Optimisation: Enhance website functionality to meet and exceed sales targets. Work closely with web development teams to implement necessary improvements.
  • Performance Marketing: Oversee online campaigns (PPC, SEO, social media) and manage relationships with traffic agencies to achieve goals.
  • Merchandising Excellence: Optimise product pages, catalogue structure, and customer journeys to provide a top-notch digital merchandising experience.
  • Pricing and Promotions: Develop and execute pricing strategies that drive sales while maintaining profitability.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Bloomreach) to monitor and analyze sales data, informing strategic initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to align business activities and achieve objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage quarterly budgets and forecasts, ensuring cost-effective spending and a strong return on investment.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Champion a seamless and satisfying online shopping journey at every touchpoint.
  • Innovate: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends to continually enhance website functionality and user experience.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading an ecommerce team in a business with a £10M annual turnover.
  • Strong track record of delivering digital growth.
  • Deep understanding of the UK market and multichannel retail.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, social media, email, etc.).
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
