Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with specific learning needs, working closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement tailored learning plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with learning needs, adapting to their unique requirements and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring students receive comprehensive support.
  • Build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Track and report progress to teachers and parents, providing regular updates on student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in learning support and special education.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed, with a proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset, but not necessary; a passion for helping young people learn and grow is essential.
