Fostering Advisor

At ISP, we're committed to providing exceptional support to our foster parents and the children they care for. As a Fostering Advisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our foster families receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly visit foster parents to discuss progress, share ideas, and provide advice on available support services.
- Collaborate with ISP Social Workers and Registered Managers to coordinate training, respite, and transportation arrangements.
- Provide foster parents with information and advice on support services, including procedures for allegations or complaints.
- Coordinate training for foster parents and support children and young people in their leisure activities.
- Maintain accurate records and stay up-to-date with applicable regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Understanding of Fostering regulations and standards.
- Some first-hand knowledge or experience of Fostering.
- Previous experience or a willingness to work in a therapeutic model of child care.
- Ability to build good working relationships with professionals from various disciplines.
- Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with spreadsheets and databases.
